About the Academy
OSKY Academy was founded to reimagine how aspiring software engineers gain job-ready skills, offering compact courses designed for maximum impact. Our roots trace back to OSKY’s founder, Ken Ong, a skilled UX Engineer with a passion for creating beautiful, functional designs infused with usability and programmatic excellence. This passion led Ken to establish OSKY Interactive, now a leading web development agency headquartered in Canberra, Australia.
Ken’s 20 years in the industry have seen OSKY grow to serve clients across Australia—including in Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Adelaide—as well as internationally in New Zealand, Switzerland and Kuala Lumpur. This diverse client base has influenced OSKY Academy’s commitment to teaching practical, industry-aligned skills that meet world-class standards, helping students to make an immediate impact.
For years, Ken observed that recent graduates often lacked the practical experience needed to dive straight into commercial projects, resulting in extended on-the-job training. To solve this industry-wide issue, OSKY Academy was launched to provide students with practical skills and real-world exposure—delivered in a straightforward, no-nonsense way that prepares them to succeed in the tech field.
